Work Experience
 

University of North Texas, CVAD, Denton Texas
 

Core Design II: Instructor of Record, spring 2013 to spring 2015. 
Responsibilities include teaching materials and techniques and helping to develop a creative process through problem solving, visual aesthetics and organization. Students also learn to develop a strong visual vocabulary through critical analysis as well as confidence in the critique setting.

Intermediate Ceramics: Instructor of Record, spring 2015.
Responsibilities include intensive instruction of hand-building techniques using slab method, coil, press molding, and wheel work. Students learn to mix and pug their own clay, loading and firing electric kilns and gas kilns, and mix their own glazes in glaze lab. Students develop and understand a broad range of vocabulary and critique language for this 3D experience.

Introduction to Ceramics: Instructor of Record, fall 2014.
Responsibilities include and introduction to hand-building using pinch, coil, and slab methods and an introduction to using the wheel as well as glazing techniques and loading and unloading kilns. Students develop a wide range of new vocabulary and critique language for this 3D experience.

Core Drawing II: Instructor of Record, spring 2014.
Responsibilities include instruction in 2 point perspective and figure drawing using a variety of media which includes pencil, charcoal and pastel. Through critique students learn to develop a strong drawing vocabulary to utilize throughout their career.

Responsibilities include instruction of techniques in throwing, hand building and glazing processes, as well as instruction in altering forms and alternative methods in creating forms. Kiln and studio maintenance done as needed.
